How we’re funded

El Tímpano’s pursuit of more equitable journalism, information access, and civic engagement is possible thanks to the generous support of our community.

Our work is funded by grants, donations, and sponsorships from individuals, foundations, public agencies, and corporations, as well as by partnership fees from government and nonprofit agencies. Accepting financial support does not mean El Tímpano endorses donors or their products, services or opinions. Our news judgments are made independently—not based on or influenced by any revenue source. We make public all revenue sources and donors who give $5,000 or more per year.
